TERRENCE DEAK APPOINTED
CRMC CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Terrence “Terry” Deak, age 47 year old native of California, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer for the Colusa Regional Medial Center,” said Dale Kirby, CRMC CEO.  “We are pleased to have found a person of Mr. Deak's qualifications for this important position.” 

Deak has served in hospital administration and as a Financial Officer in healthcare in various capacities since 1988. 

Deak grew up in the Los Angeles area and graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1981 with a Bachelor degree in Business Economics and Accounting.  He also attended graduate school at the University of Laverne in Mission Viejo with an emphasis on Health Services Administration.  Upon completing school, he worked as a hospital management consultant for five years. 

He later worked for several hospitals in California.  Most recently as Vice President and CFO of at St. Joseph Health System in Eureka, California.  While on the California coast, he was an active member of the Fortuna Sunrise Rotary Club.  He has also served on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Merced County, the Board of Directors of Coalinga Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.  

Deak and his wife, Ann, have been married 21 years and have two children:  Lewis, 16 and Alyssa, 14, both currently attend high school in Fortuna, California.  The family plans to move from Fortuna to our area this summer. 

“I am happy to be given the opportunity to manage the financial operations of Colusa Regional Medical Center.”  he said,  “Balancing the responsibilities of serving the health care needs of Colusa County with the financial constraints rural hospitals face today, will be both interesting as well as challenging.” 

In his spare time Terry enjoys traveling, water sports, snow skiing and most of all spending time and enjoying his hobbies with his family.
