COLUSA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER FOUNDATION AWARDS $25,000
for Expansion of Labor and Delivery Services

Dale Kirby, Chief Executive Officer of Colusa Regional Medical Center announced plans to expand the Labor and Delivery Unit thanks to the recent $25,000 donation from the CRMC Foundation.  “This generous donation from The Foundation will help CRMC move forward with its expansion plans.  Three more rooms will be added which will increase the number of available private rooms to 5.   In addition, we will be redecorating the rooms to provide an aesthetically pleasing birthing experience.”

According to Michelle Overholt, RN, new OB Manager, “The new rooms will be set up as private rooms with sleeping chairs for the fathers.  After delivery, mom, dad and baby can all stay in the room together.  This private setting really supports the early bonding of parents with the newborn.  As the new nurse manager, I am very excited to be able to contribute to the development of this state-of-the-art environment that will allow families to experience the miracle of new life together and receive the maximum care and support from physicians and staff.”
