CRMC INTRODUCES NEW GENERAL SURGEON
“I am very pleased to welcome
Vincent Mazzarella, M.D., to our community and announce the opening
of his medical practice in general surgery, stated Dale Kirby, CRMC
Chief Executive Officer. Dr.
“I am very excited about the
opportunities here in Colusa County,” comments Dr. Mazzarella. “The
hospital and clinics are fully equipped and staffed to allow me to
do all the things that I love. I will be performing laparoscopic
surgery for a range of medical conditions. In addition, I will be
providing consultations and second opinions for patients who want to
explore their surgical options. I find working with cancer patients
very rewarding and am very sensitive to the patient’s need to
control the intensity of the surgical intervention.” In addition to his surgical expertise, Dr. Mazzarella has been very active in the area of healthcare information technology and will be piloting an “electronic medical record” project in CRMC’s outpatient clinics. He prides himself on being very “hands on” and accessible to his patients. “I return my own phone calls and I am comfortable conversing with my patients in medical Spanish.” Dr. Mazzarella is a native of Southern California. He attended the University of California at San Diego where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry and cell biology. He earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, and completed his surgical training at several prominent medical centers in the Los Angeles area. Call CRMC’s Specialty Medicine Clinic at (530) 458-3243 for information or to make an appointment.
