16TH ANNUAL SWING FOR LIFE TOURNAMENT
By Robert Parsons The Colusa Regional Medical Center Foundation (CRMC) hosted its 16th Annual Swing For Life golf Tournament Friday, October 5th. “This is a great event,” CRMC Chief Executive Officer Dale Kirby told a gathering of participants. “We couldn’t have asked for better weather. It’s a beautiful day. I’d like to thank all of our sponsors and everyone that helped to organize this special event.” Well over a dozen four-person teams from all over the north sate participated in the tournament. Proceeds from the Swing For Life tournament will be used to purchase emergency room equipment including defibrillators, pacemakers and monitors.
The team sponsored by Messick’s Ace Hardware took home the first
place prize. Team members Matt Cousineau, Rob Hickel, David Hickel and Dennis Correa of Cousineau Construction’s team had a second place showing, scoring 51.1 Joel Gordiejew, Tracy Kelly, Fred Crosthwaite and Mike Grow placed third with a score of 52 for the Sun-Herald team. The longest drives of the day were recorded by Steve Sanderson and Celynne Balatbat.
