First Baby of 2008 Braves Stormy Weather

In spite of stormy weather, young Saul Martinez became the first baby of the New Year to be born at Colusa Regional Medical Center.  He weighed in at 8 pounds and 13 ounces and was born on Saturday, January 5, 2008, at 11:39 a.m.  The mother, Maria Martinez, was presented with a layette gift basket by the nursing staff in recognition of having delivered the first 2008 baby.  Dr.’s Julian Delgado and Michael Goodman were the proud attending physicians. 

Preparing to take new baby home are left to right:  Mother:  Maria Martinez; baby: Saul Martinez;  Father: Saul Martinez; 6-year old sister:  Daniela Martinez and 3-year old brother:  Luis Angel Martinez.  The family resides in Grimes.
